They will never succeed in concealing the truth of the torture and the crimes against the people.
When the people’s verbal or written discourse threatens the oligarchy as faithful servant of world’s powers’ colonialism, the people’s leaders and supporters are persecuted, tortured and murdered.
Racism is characterized by the gradual historical extermination of each word in the rebel cultures of Native peoples and Afro-Descendant communities in Latin America.
Murdering our hero Lémpira was not enough –extermination of the Lenca language was mandatory. However the spirit of the word lives in the Honduras Indigenous and Grassroots Organizations Committee (Comité de Organizaciones Indígenas y Populares de Honduras, COPINH).
In San Francisco de Opalaca and all the Lenca communities in the National People’s Resistance Front (NPRF) at Intibucá and Lémpira, the opposition is strong against destruction of forests and the building of dams that jail the rivers.
The Honduran Ku Klux Klan set fire to radio Faluma Bimeto (Sweet Coconut radio) to silence the voices and drums of Garífuna culture, and yet the courage in that tongue expresses itself more forcefully and vividly through OFRANEH, The Fraternal Black Organization of Honduras.
On June 28, 2009 Honduras experienced the military coup d’etat whose roots lie in the multinational military’s, religious fundamentalism’s and neoliberal ideology’s interests of globalization binding the financial, productive, mercantile capital to local power.
A gag was put to silence popular freedom of expression --which was (and still is) in favor of installing a National Constitutional Assembly and transforming the Honduran Republic’s Constitution-- with the closure of the Fourth Ballot Box, the overthrow of President Manuel Zelaya the exercise of every form of violence against the people organized as the National People’s Resistance Front.
The peasant life and culture in the communities of Guadalupe Carney, of the Unified Peasant Movement in the Aguán (MUCA) and Zacate Grande continues to be terrorized by the assassins, military and police armed oligarchy.
Seven journalists were murdered in March and April of the tenth year of the 21st Century: Joseph Hernández, David Meza, Nahúm Palacios, Bayardo Mairena, Manuel Juárez, Luis Antonio Chévez and Georgino Orellana.
The geo-strategic criminal pattern of the military-mining-agribusiness complex (COMMA) emerges where the word turns most dangerous, and the infamous power acts in the name of “Christian Humanism” and democracy in order to defend the capital’s cumulative voracity.
In Terreros, El Porvenir municipality, threats have been thrown against the word of two journalists: Carlos Amador, and José Bernabé Hernández; the former leads the Valle de Siria Environmental Committee and fights mining operations; the latter fights to protect the forest.
The daily voselsoberano was the target of cyber blockages. The media, as well as all strategic hydro- and thermal electrical power, are under the control of the military leaders who participated in the coup.
The word is also hijacked. Compañero Oscar Flores, honest and courageous, was tortured by his captors. Part of the interrogation he was subjected to was in reference to the threats against the whole leadership of the Union of Workers of the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH).
The plan to terrorize UNAH’s workers has the specific goal of jeopardizing the fundamental rights of the whole working class. It coincides with the scheme to violate the union’s established rights and with the mass dismissal of workers, both plotted by the university authorities.
Religious fundamentalism, colluding with the oligarchy, the ideological and political arm of the COMMA and business forces expelled and denationalized (Goldman Prize winning) priest Andrés Tamayo; and menaced Father Fausto Milla and Monsignor Luis Santos.
Ismael Moreno (Father Melo), a sound thinker and follower of Jesus of the Poor, has received death threats for his ethical commitment with the cause of the dispossessed, as is also the case of reporter with Radio Progreso Gerardo Chévez.
Verbal and written words in the discourse of the powerful are characterized by bribery, slander, machinations and media terror; their servants relish the taste of corruption daily, while the people endures hunger, and the terror of violence.
In this situation, let us raise the voice of dignity before the crimes occurring in Honduras in the name of democracy, of dialogue and of “Christian Humanism”.
The union of all historic solidarity forces—local, national and international—is of the essence for the people to reclaim their rights and those of the Great Motherland: our America.

¿Por qué asesinar a la palabra?

Nunca podran ocultar la verdad sobre sobre el tortura y crimen contra el pueblo
Cuando el discurso oral o textual del pueblo amenaza a la oligarquía, fiel servidora del coloniaje del poder mundial; los dirigentes y simpatizantes populares son perseguidos, torturados y asesinados.
El racismo se caracteriza por el exterminio histórico progresivo de cada palabra de la cultura rebelde de los pueblos originarios y afro descendientes de América Latina.
No bastó el asesinato del héroe Lempira; era necesario exterminar la lengua lenca. Sin embargo el espíritu de la palabra vive en el Comité de Organizaciones Indígenas y Populares de Honduras (COPINH).
En San Francisco de Opalaca y en todas las comunidades lencas del Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular (FNRP), de Intibucá y Lempira se oponen a la destrucción de los bosques y a la edificar cárceles para los ríos o represas.
El Ku Kux Klan hondureño incendió la radio Faluma Bimeto (Radio Coco Dulce) para silenciar las voces y tambores de la cultura garífuna. Sin embargo el coraje de esta lengua se expresa con más fuerza y más vida por OFRANEH (Organización Fraternal Negra de Honduras).
El 28 de junio 2009, se produce en Honduras el golpe de Estado militar cuyos orígenes corresponden a los intereses multinacionales militares, fundamentalistas religiosos e ideológicos neoliberales del globalismo vinculante del capital mercantil, productivo y financiero con el poder local.
Fue amordazada la libertad de expresión popular que estaba (y sigue estando) a favor de la instalación de la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente y de la transformación de la Constitución de la República, al clausurar la Cuarta Urna, expulsar al Presidente Manuel Zelaya y a ejercer todas las formas de violencia contra pueblo organizado en el Frente Nacional de Resistencia Popular.
La vida y cultura campesina de las comunidades Guadalupe Carney, del Movimiento Unificado Campesino del Aguán (MUCA) y Zacate Grande continúa aterrorizada por la oligarquía armada de sicarios, policías y militares.
Siete periodistas fueron asesinados en marzo y abril de la primera década del siglo XXI: Joseph Hernández, David Meza, Nahúm Palacios, Bayardo Mairena, Manuel Juárez, Luis Antonio Chévez y Georgino Orellana.
El patrón criminal geoestratégico del complejo militar y minero agroindustrial ocurre donde la palabra es más peligrosa y donde el poder infame actúa en nombre del “humanismo cristiano” y de la democracia para defender la voracidad acumulativa del capital.
En Terreros, municipio de El Porvenir, se ha amenazado la palabra de dos periodistas: Carlos Amador, dirigente del Comité Ambiental del Valle de Siria y José Bernabé Hernández, luchadores contra la minería el primero y el segundo en la protección del bosque.
El periódico voselsoberano fue objeto de obstrucción por el bloqueo cibernético. El control de la comunicación, lo mismo que todas las entidades estratégicas de energía eléctrica térmica y acuosa; están bajo el control de los jerarcas militares que participaron en el golpe.
La palabra también ha sido secuestrada. El compañero Oscar Flores, valiente y honesto fue torturado por sus captores. Parte del interrogatorio al que fue sometido; hizo referencia a las amenazas contra todas la dirigencia del Sindicato de Trabajadores de la UNAH (SITRAUNAH).
El plan de aterrorizar a la clase trabajadora de la UNAH tiene el fin específico de poner en peligro los derechos fundamentales de toda la clase trabajadora. Coincide con el plan de violación del fuero sindical y despido masivo de trabajadores, que se ha gestado por parte de las autoridades universitarias.
El fundamentalismo religioso aliado con la oligarquía y brazo ideológico, político de las fuerzas del COMMA expulsó y desnacionalizó al sacerdote Andrés Tamayo (Premio Goldamn); amenazó al Padre Fausto Milla y a Monseñor Luis Santos.
Ismael Moreno (Padre Melo) sólido pensador y seguidor del Jesús de los Pobres ha sido amenazado a muerte por su ético compromiso con la causa de los humildes; así como Gerardo Chévez, periodista de Radio Progreso
La palabra y el texto del discurso del poder se caracteriza por el soborno, la calumnia, la intriga y el terror mediático. Sus servidores saborean diariamente el manjar de la corrupción; mientras el pueblo sufre del hambre y el terror de la violencia.
Frente a esta situación elevemos la voz de la dignidad ante los crímenes que están ocurriendo en Honduras en nombre de la democracia, el diálogo y el “humanismo cristiano”.
La unidad de todas las fuerzas históricas solidarias: locales, nacionales e internacionales es la condición esencial para que el pueblo sus derechos y los de la Gran Matria: Nuestra América.
