Media related to the coup demonize unarmed Aguán farmers and calls them "foreigners" to justify the militarization of the area and possible murders

La Prensa "Informs" about the Aguan Conflict

By Diana Canales

For the Lobo regime, there is no reason to worry about the peasantry of the Aguán, since the military are there for the "peace of the population" and to protect it from the "narcos".

They say that who has taken over the lands "are not farmers", but "foreigners".

The military forces will remain there as long as necesary, they say.

The farmers are "negotiating the land purchase".

There are capturing orders and they will proceed to execute them, also raids.

The majority of dead are members of private security members of the companies, fires, and great losses in salaries and production.

This militarization and to justify it has been prepared over months, to the point of the pro coup media stating that " guerrilla cells have been installed in Lower Aguán ". Journalist, Nahúm Palacios, who covered the Aguán conflict, was murdered last month, after he made a report in the Channel, where he worked as its director, of the campesinos of the Bajo Aguán and stated that "these farmers don't look like terrorists, they are poor people,". On his radio program on the Friday before his murder, he blamed on air Miguel Facussé for anything that happens to him, due to him receiving death threats telling him to "stop defending the poor".
